Praise the Lord and bring glory to His name

"Lord, our heavenly father. Hallowed be your name, kingdom come Your will be done on earth as in heaven. I come to you as a saint with sinner tendencies and beg your forgiveness of my sins and to ask for You to bestow on me Your grace and mercy.  Lead my doctors to remember all their training and knowledge and bring forth a solution to my breathing issues.  I'm fully aware running had become my idol and first love, but I have learned much since and will not allow that to happen again.  You Lord are my first love and I now live my life to love, to praise You and bring glory to Your name.

In the name of Jesus Christ I pray,

Amen"

I had honestly forget typing this prayer until I ran back across it yesterday and if I remember right I typed it the night we made my first appointment with the cardiologist which led to the bonked stress test....

A little back story for those that don't know me. I'm a runner (or was and hope to again) and took advantage of a the coronavirus shutting down races and putting me on furlough to have a medial meniscus repaired. After taking the required 6-8 weeks of recovery, I had plans to resume training but could not run even a 1/4 mile before I experienced sever throat pain. This led to about a 18 month search for problem that just didn't seem to exist or have a solution....

I was to this point I was praying for something to be wrong, something they could fix because it was getting to the point I could not walk the barn and back to feed the chickens and goats. Then it finally happened, an episode that said "cardiologist"

To shorten the story a bit on 12/01/21 at the 4:05 mark of my stress test I was forced to tap out the EKG took me to the cath lab (sp) which in turn took me to the St. Vincent Infirmary CVCU for a 12/02/21 open heart surgery (triple bypass)

This is of God's hand this is mercy and grace at work.  I truly believe He broke me where I need broke so He could fix it.  It's like a war was going on inside me and even though I know who wins the war...I was losing the battle.  It's like the Lord reached down from heaven and through the surgeons hand ripped a cold darkness from my chest and I felt as if I were listening to the battle rage in the distance over night.  I seem to read and view things with a different, better clarity than before...it's easier for me to weep over things that before may not have even garnered my attention. I serve a mighty...mighty Lord and believe He has graced me with a miracle and He has gifted me today.  If I open my eyes in the morning that just means I get to start the day by opening a pair of gifts.

Praise the Lord and bring Glory to His name

Love is not Love

We have got to learn to  reject the lie that says there is no  love that is out of  bounds because ultimately that's a lie that  says...
